World Class Tasmania Golf Tour

Our golf tours provide the complete Tasmanian experience by combining world class golf, food, wine and culture into a five day package like no other golfing holiday you have ever had.

The tour starts in Launceston and takes you straight to a remote location in north eastern Tasmania to the home of Barnbougle, which includes two top ten Australian ranked golf courses. Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course, pictured below is carved into the sand dunes overlooking the small fishing town of Bridport on the edge of Anderson Bay. Lost Farm Golf Course is located next door, offering a second day of picturesque golf on the unique 20-hole layout. Unwind after your golf with a spa treatment or simply relax in the comfortable clubhouse with a glass of Tasmania's finest wine and cheese.

A tour of Tasmania would not be complete without tasting the award winning wine at Josef Chromy Wines. Here you will experience some of Tasmania's freshest and best food and wine with a three course lunch overlooking a scenic winery. After lunch you will travel south to Hobart, stopping at the historic town of Ross where you can shop for antiques and collectables or just soak up the serenity with a coffee or tea in the peaceful colonial village.

In Hobart you can explore the city and have breakfast at your choice of local cafes on the waterfront, overlooking the Derwent River. There are also a wide range of delicious restaurants to meet all tastes.  The Mona Roma Ferry will take you to Mona, the largest privately owned museum in Australia. There are over 400 pieces of modern and contemporary art, spread across three levels of the museum, which itself is architectural masterpiece, built on the banks of the Derwent River.

The Golf Courses

Barnbougle Dunes

Barnbougle Dunes.300

Barnbougle dunes 2.300

The Dunes, Barnbougle's original course, is a Links Golf Course unlike any other in Australia. Meandering along Tasmania's dramatic North East coast, it's where breathtaking scenery and thrilling golf truly come together.

The recipient of global accolades, Barnbougle Dunes was designed by U.S Golf visionary Tom Doak and Australian Mike Clayton to channel the traditional links courses of Scotland and Ireland. Golf at the Dunes is a game of strategy, where each shot requires tactical thought and a little creativity can be rewarding.

A blend of fescue and bent grasses, the course flourishes in the coastal environment. Fairways are wide, wider than most golfers will have experienced on traditional courses. The greens are lively; rolling with the natural undulation of the dunes and with the 4th hole boasting the largest bunker in the southern hemisphere, this course is designed to challenge.

Lost Farm

Lost Farm.300Lost Farm2.300

Barnbougle Lost Farm is a 20 hole
Links Golf course on Tasmania's North East Coast. Officially opened on 10 December 2010, Lost Farm sits adjacent
to The Dunes, which opened in December 2004.

Within a week of opening, Lost Farm was rated in the top 10 courses in Australia by Golf Australia Magazine, and also entered U.S. Golf Magazine's Top 100 List. The course is now positioned firmly as one of the icons in Australia's golfing crown, rated #3 in Australia by Australian Golf Magazine (behind Dunes at #2)

Despite their close proximity, Lost Farm is remarkably different to The Dunes. Lost Farm features 20 holes, all of which are playable in any one round, and the course layout tracks along the coast and inland amongst sand dunes that are significantly steeper than those featured at The Dunes. The strategic bunkering and undulating greens combined with wide fairways make for a course that offers an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
